Cerro Gordo Elementary has many excellent programs to offer to elementary students.
Our strong teaching staff, rigorous curriculum, parent/community involvement, and disciplined students work together to learn and achieve.
We have high expectations for student learning and achievement. One of our excellent programs is our Response to Intervention (RtI) reading program, called Leading to Reading (LTR). Students in grades K-2 meet in groups, according to ability, and work on basic phonics skills to reading comprehension skills.
The school has instituted an after school program (BAS) to provide child and day care for working parents.
*Cerro Gordo Elementary School welcomes volunteers to help in the classroom or to be involved with our very active PTO.
