Mr. Aten

This year marks my 53^rd year in education! 35 of those years have been spent teaching. I taught Physics and other science classes at MacArthur High School from 1986 to 2018.  I have been substitute teaching and now part-time teaching in Cerro Gordo since then.

Also since my retirement I have been adventuring across the U.S. and other parts of North America experiencing some of the things I had been teaching the students. This includes spelunking in Missouri, hiking up Pikes Peak (a 14,000 ft. peak), hiking across the Grand Canyon and storm chasing.

I received my BS in Physics w/ Teacher Certification from EIU in 1985, my MS in Science Ed. In 1991, and my National Board Teacher certification in 2005.
