I am starting my 14th year teaching this year but this will be my 1st at CG. Over my career I have taught 8th grade through AP (level 5) Spanish with most of my career teaching the upper levels, Spanish 3-5 (AP). I earned my Bachelor's degree in Spanish from EIU along with my teaching certification and Latin American Studies minor. I learned to speak Spanish as a kid from my adopted Mexican grandma and it has been my passion ever since! I am the author of the book Tomate (a memoir about my unique relationship with my adopted grandma, the story that lead me to teaching Spanish). I am currently rewriting my book in Spanish to republish hopefully later this year. I am married to my HS sweetheart, Zeth, and we have two bilingual children in elementary school, Zeryk and Zeya. We live in the country of Sullivan.
